Dear Charles,

In "The US Army in WW II, European Theater of Operations,The Battle of the Bulge" by Hugh M. Cole, (OCMH,1965) p. 495, temps at Dillingen "stood below 20 F" on the 24th of December. That town is on the Sauer River near Echternach, in the southern sector of the battlefield.
