[WW II] looking for information on Army's 77th division

hi im looking for any informaiton on the 77th division of the 233the Combat engineers. My grandpa was enlisted Aug 12,1942 with his cousin Vernon Larson. He was sent to virgina where he trained/.
He went to Neosho missouri and then to Mahave Dessert/fort lewis washington. His missions were Guam, Phillipenes, Leshima, Okinawa and then Japan.
My grandma is wanting me to find some pictures of his unit/informaiton also. anyone that could help me i would be very greatful.
My grandpa died last Feb and i want to do this so we can get a family history for my children.
