The plates are not very clear, so I dug out the text that accompanies the plates.

The below is lifted from an order dated 10 April 1833. Uniform to be issued 1 January 1835.

Officers
Coat ... "turnbacks and linings, buff cloth or Kerseymere; gold embrodied shell and flame at the bottom of the skirt;"...

I don't read anything about pocket flaps; the officers have "slashed flap on the skirt with four loops and large buttons {you can see the row of them on the left hand guy in number 546 and on the Colonel on the right.

The buttons of the flap seem to be on the enlisted uniform, but the bomb and flame is not.

In the footnotes there is a note that these plates supplement Plate 105
