Darn it, John.

Years ago I read that the Romans considered it bad luck to know exactly how many soldiers they had. I've often thought
that really they knew accountability was a pain in the neck.

Apparently the Continental Army thought the same. Still I remember some adventures with the "Morning Report" and sympathize with my fellow soldiers from days of yore.

I wonder who this man was. I can't recall any experiences with a missing general.
