[WW II] WWII Sketch - Unknown Artist?

Good morning,
My grandfather served in WWII with the 17th Duke of York's Royal
Canadian Hussars and has since passed away. I inherited lots of his war
stuff and there is one particular piece that is puzzling me.
I have what I believe to be a coal sketch of him in uniform. My
grandmother told me he returned home in 1946 and this sketched is signed
1945 along with a signature I can't make out. First initial E. and
surname ending in "field" I believe.
I am interested in finding out who the artist is, when and where it
would have been sketched and if there is any value to it. It's in
perfect shape and I have it safely framed to preserve it for family
history.
If you could fill me in on this artist and/or supply me with other
contacts that may be able to help me that would be appreciated.
Thanks!
