[AmRevolution] Pipers & Fifers in Highland Regts.

Does anyone have information on the number of pipers identified in any of the Highland regiments during the Revolutionary War? The 25th was known to have one directly prior. Other units? I have been told that the officers paid for the pipers out of their personal funds, but does anyone know of a paper trail to prove that? Does anyone have evidence of fifers in Highland regiments besides the 42nd.?
