Jeane Eishen

I am a theatrical costumer, with strong interest in Civil War uniforms, and a recently sharpened interest in the Mexican War (1846-1848). I have a degree in technical theatre from SMU (Dallas, TX), and a lifelong preoccupation with the Civil War, especially the Confederacy and the roles women played. While I had long been aware of family history in the New Orleans Greys, the Fighting Tigers, and at least one Louisiana zouave division, I recently discovered a family connection to Union Missouri Infantry divisions, and have been discovering more about Union history.
