Digby Smith

Date of Birth 15 Jan 1935; 27 years service in the British army (REME, R Signals, RAOC/Quartermaster Corps) studied at the Federal German Command and Staff College, Hamburg, 1970-1972. Bi-lingual English/German. Resigned from the army 1979; since then worked in customer service and logistics management for a series of hi-tech, international companies in Germany, Saudi Arabia and Russia. Made redundant in 1995. I have been writing on military history since 1970, still at it. Now live in Thetford, Norfolk, England.
