Dan Elliott

I am an archaeologist and historian in Georgia. I am interested primarily in pre-Civil War military sites and personalities in Georgia. My interest spreads into South Carolina and Alabama as well. And it also dribbles into the Civil War era, particularly around Savannah and Jonesboro, Georgia. I am president of the LAMAR Institute, which is a non-profit archaeological and historical research and education organization in Georgia. I also serve as archaeologist for the town of New Ebenezer in Effingham County, Georgia.
