I was elected to membership in the Company in 1962 and was elected to a Fellowship in 1978. I have written two articles for the Journal. The first one was The Evolution of the McClellan Cavalry Saddle in the Summer 1979 issue and the second was The Development of The M-1 Helmet Liner in the Winter 1991 issue. I was instrumental in the organization of the Central Plains Area Chapter in 1975. I served as Treasurer for the Kansas City Annual Meeting in 1993 and gave one of the seminars. My interests are U.S. Horse Cavalry, 1865 to 1943; U.S. Army Airborne, Rangers, and Special Forces. I am a retired civil engineer. I served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1949 to 1960, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant.
