Bill Christen

I am primarily a student of the social and material culture for the period of 1850 to 1875.u Other periods of interest are the US Navy in World War One and the War of 1812 (particulary in the Great lakes region).

I publish _The Watchdog_ a quarterly journal for Civil War role-players and others interested in reproducing material culture items of that period. Our publishing compnay will soon be offering separate publications of various topics. The first offering is a monograph on the US fatigue coat (sack coat) from 1857 to 1872 by Patrick Browm. It is due out at the end of October. Our non-profit 501(c)3 organization also raises fund for historical preservation efforts.
